Sony's Three Speech blogged revealed yesterday details about the forthcoming Firmware 2.0.0 upgrade which should be available by the time you read this.
The new firmware will had Dual Shock 3 support (though the controller is only available in Japan right now) as well as allow gamers to turn on and off their PS3's with the PSP's Remote Play. Gamers will also be able to look at their PS3's photos, music and videos anywhere their PSP's can connect online via Wi-Fi.
Playlists can be created for music and photos, and there are further personalization enhancements, which include changing the look of the XMB with custom colors, brightness and themes. An Information Board will also be added to the XMB, and a new internet security system for parental safeguards.
